Location
The Building is located in the very Centre of Paris, the1st district.
This is probably the best location a tourist can dream:
- 50m from the Louvre metro station,
- 100m from the Louvre Museum, 
- 100m from the Saint Honoré street where the best shops, food and restaurants are located.  
- 200m from the biggest French Train and Metro station (underground) to go wherever you want in France.
- 5min walk to the Latin Quarter, to Notre Dame,  to Beaubourg … 10min to Champs Elysées,
Everything is on your feet : no need to use the Metro or the bus.

Building

The Building, dated from the17st century, is a side part of the Louvre where several members of the Royal Family were hosted in. Because of the 3,5-3,7m hight ceilings, the thick walls, floors and parquets, the apartment is very quiet (the walls are 1m thick in some places). It was transformed and totally renewed by the end of 2004. But as it is protected by the State,  the original style of this rich house has been restored as it was in the 17^th century when Louis de XIVth was our king.

The history of  this place is very rich: this place was the heart of The Protestant area and many of them were hidden here during the Saint Barthelemy night, then the Kings family was hosted here; it was also a dance school of the Royal Court …

The equipment of the building as the elevator, the TV, water and electricity circuits are new. The First 2 floors are the new headquarters of Louis Vuitton, the very top of the French luxury.

There is a grand Room for bicycles in the hall where  2 (or 4) bikes are at your disposal in case you want to visit Paris by bike.

Apartment

There are 5 two rooms apartments  with sleeping areas upstairs and  living/sleeping downstairs as the floor is 3,7m high in some places. The mezzanines are large has comfortable stairs, but if you do not like mezzanines you can also sleep downstairs. Three apartments located on the south side has a direct view on the Louvre. The Total size is  about 250m2 with  6 bathrooms and 6 kitchens but you can rent from a 2 rooms  to a  10rooms apartment.

On the courtyard side there are 2 apartments sharing an 11m2  balcony. From the balcony there is a nice view on two very special buildings : an Eiffel building (signed by the creator of the Eiffel Tower) where the design office of LVMH (Louis Vuitton) is located, and the First Art Deco building in the world signed by Frantz Jourdain (the architect of La Samaritaine) one of the pioneers of this style.

As all of our apartments, the equipment is composed of special  furniture, confortable beds and bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen., fast WiFi Internet, free telephone (on demand whith the reservation) and DVD player.

Health and safety 

THE AREA

The Building is located between the Biggest and Richest museum of the World (the Louvre) the Ministry of Justice, the Paris Police Prefecture. This arrondissement (district of Paris) is composed mainly of museums, grand monuments, grand magasins (luxury supermarkets), grand parks, shops and offices so it is not very crowdy (but it is plenty of tourists during the day).   To summarize it is one of safest places in the city.

THE BUILDING

The building is very healthy as it is built with stone and wood,  with thick walls and high ceilings. after the 2004 renovation All the plumb pipes and all the other potentially  unhealthy materials were removed after the 2004 renovation (this is not the case of 80% of Parisian Buildings). As the first 3 floors are occupied by Louis Vuitton (LVMH) group   (Christian Dior, Givenchy, Kenzo …) the building is guarded 24/24 7/7 = all the time. You  need the DoorCode and the Key to get into the elevator, then the Code to open the apartment. So you are in one of safest buildings here. The only real danger for your life is to meet in the elevator or front to the building one of  these Top Models (man and woman) working for Dior, Kenzo … It can change your life (it is a joke!)

 THE APARTMENT

As for the Building, we only used ecological materials for the renovation: stone , wood, glass, ceramic. There is no plastic, polluting paintings, and other unhealthy materials.

We have installed a high level forced air ventilation system (AC like, a natural system) to provide fresh air with a suitable level of humidity, at any time. Even if smoking is strictly forbidden in our apartments, you will smell no smoke if you are with a smoker as a used air is changed immediately. The heating system is composed of hot water radiators. The hot water is produced in the basement of another building so there are no electric heaters or gaz heater (consuming all the oxygen).

The furniture and equipments of these apartments are of best French quality: the beds are signed by  Merinos and Diva, the taps by Franke and Grohe, the ceramics  by Jacob Delafon , or special, large (160*200) mattresses…

 So I think that from Health and Safety point of view it is difficult to find something better in  Paris.

The Transportation

The central location, the beauty of this historic building and its apartments, the health and safety are strong  arguments but the strongest one is the quality of the means of transport. As you are coming here for a short time you probably want to optimize your time and do not loose time in transportation (which can take 20% of your time during your visit). Our apartment is located 200m  from the biggest Train/Metro underground station of France (Châtelet/LesHalles).

From here you have a direct access (No need to change train) by the Fast Metro (RER) to all the airports (Roissy/Charles de Gaulle, Orly, Le Bourget), to all the Train Stations (Gare Montparnasse, Gare de Lyon, Gare du Nord…) and many Monuments and Points of interest outside Paris like Versailles, Vincennes and Euro Disney …

It takes 5min maximum for example to go to any train stations and 25min for Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport. From any other areas of Paris you will have to take the slow metro first, then to change one or two times before  reaching you final train. This is uncomfortable and long, specially during the peak hours. For the Guests coming by car (or who decides to rent a car) there is a grand  underground parking just under our building where you can park even a  Bus; there is a Groom service (if you want) to park and to deliver your car anytime you move. The Building is 200m far from the Seine River and the Seine River Underground fast way,  so that you can easily reach the Motorway,  nearly without any traffic lights. There is  a large place where you can put your bike on the ground floor;  so that you can rent our bikes and visit Paris by Bike (if you need it please request it with the reservation);  as the Seine River open air fast way is reserved to Bikes on Sunday, during the Fests, and part of the Summer. Montmartre and several other areas are closed to the car and reserved to pedestrian and bikes during the week end  and some periods in the week; there are now more and more lanes for bike only and forbidden to the car inside Paris.

I hope that you understand that if you want to really optimise your investment, your long and expensive trip to here our apartments are one of the best places to stay.

Booking

The normal average rate is 1190E per week for 4 guests.

In the contract we send you after your downpayment we indicate the number of the apartment which was preaffected to you. Because of the space optimization as in all the Hotels we can not guarantee that you will finally have this one. It can be 1 of the others equivalent apartments on the same floor.
